Every passage is about the difficulty to Moiraine maintaining her composure, never any difficulty channeling. And the last one. The one that was apparently designed to make her fail. Do you seriously believe that meeting her father and hearing of her dying mother would cause her trouble channeling?


Yes, most definitely. The series states many many many many times that you need composure to embrace the source.

The test tries to destroy the composure.
