Lan would not beat Gawyn, Gawyn would not beat Lan, Egwene would not beat Nynaeve and Nynaeve would not beat Egwene. Why? Because they're ALLIES.


If we establish that Gawyn could beat Lan, we can be confident that Gawyn would beat anybody that Lan could beat, e.g. Toram Riatin.

If we know that Nynave could beat Ewgene by a fair margin, but Nynaeve is equally matched with Moghedien, then we can guess that Moghedien would beat Ewgene.

Moghedien & Egwene are not allies.

That's the point.
