Even Elayne and Nynaeve, who originally appeared to be more haughty than Egwene, have thanked Mat by now.
As we see with Rand, power does sometimes require that people be seen to respect you and obey your without question PUBLICLY, but Egwene doesn't seem to understand that privately she can trust people, treat them as equals (or betters), or actually give THEM some respect.
Most recently, she gets whiny about Siuan and Gawyn saving her life in the Tower, even after it is clear that there was no effect on the outcome anyway. This is just not likeable, nor easily forgivable. I mean, come on, the girl is taking Siuan's (rightful!) place as Amyrlin, and she beats on Siuan, someone who gave up all desire for personal glory and who has dedicated her life to Egwene, for almost certainly saving her life? If she really thinks that she is that important to the Tower, then she should surely understand that her life needs to be kept safe, but she doesn't even consider this.

I agree. I thought that Egwene was way too hard on Siuan. She would not be anywhere without Siuan's help. And she is hardly one to talk about impetuous and rash behaviour. The disasters in the harring off to Falme with the other wonder girls and Tear spring to mind.
God I am so pissed off at Future Egwene
