Exactly - so why would we excuse Egwene's? I still think that she failed to think her anger through. Even if she did handle her temper in order to get on with other things, I fail to see how she can't see that Siuan did the right thing.

Had Siuan not intervened, Egwene would likely be dead at the hands of remaining Seanchan (Bloodknives or stranded soldiers). Even rubble from the partly-collapsing tower could have buried her. Since she views herself as the only capable Amyrlin, I'm honestly surprised that she doesn't understand that her safety is not longer just her own concern. We've been criticising Rand for that for a long time, and more recently Elayne in KoD.
