Comedy fat guy turns psychotic Frey-eating cannibal. That's revenge for the Red Wedding and he's only just getting started. Force-feeding the Freys their own relatives in secret was amusing, but when you realised he was munching them down himself, that was both sick and badass.

There was obviously something going on there, but I was thinking he was just poisoning the lot of them - himself included. So I was rather disappointed when they kept living. I'd have to reread the chapter to check your theory for myself, but it makes sense enough.
