Only "elites" can critique music, literature, and cinema? Seriously? Wow.

This perfectly sums up what I am against. Allowing others to think for yourself and following the "elites" blindly.

And FYI, I am very familiar with Doctor Faustus.....wonderful play! :)


With your non-expert use of reading comprehension, yes, I could see why people should trust you more than what is, to those who like to toss about the "elite" or "snob" label, an amorphous body of people.

Can you even name three literary critics? Can you without googling for info?

Like I said, why should I trust you? Because you are so darn cute when you defend the "fluff" as being the superior to other types of fiction?

Sorry, but this rather catholic reader (pun!) tends to trust those who know what they are talking about much more than those who ape pejoratives that sound meaningless when considered further than two seconds.
