If you take the sexual scenes out of her original books, it would read a lot like YA fiction.

If all she's done is toned that down, then that could be the only reason.


...I've read Naamah's Kiss. The sex scenes are very much in place. The book just read rushed and simplistic to me. The characters are just not even close to Phedre. The love interest is a cartoon, honestly. I was really disappointed and I'm a big fan of the first trilogy.
