Was do you think that any of the Clinton inner-circle would hesitate for a moment to meet with someone who approached them and said "Hey, we have major dirt on Trump." They would have been there in a heartbeat. It wouldn't have mattered for a moment if they were not American. Granted, they wouldn't have really had to, as they had surrogates working for them anyways (see vintage video/recordings of Trump acting like any other rich man).

However, that side is far more experienced in these sort of things, so the Clinton campaign wouldn't have less chance of being caught (unless it was e-mailed that is).
