I agree that Amys is likely not as adept at shielding as an AS which likely contributed to Egwene's ability to break the shield, but Egwene was also certainly at a lower strength level in that scene too.
There is no proof that the Aes Sedai are better at shielding than the Aiel. We only know that the Aes Sedai know how to shield a man, which the Wise Ones do not, because they send their men to the Blight. Amys is just as good at shielding as any Aes Sedai. Even with that, there is no proof that there is any skill to shielding other than holding the weave (apart from the Talent).
