That's just absurd Marshall Send a noteboard - 04/11/2009 10:48:30 PM
Think of all of the different ways Rand could have gone about killing Graendal. In order for her to trick Rand in this situation, she would have to know exactly which of the thousands of options Rand would have chosen. In other words, she'd have to be Omniscient, in which case she is not a Forsaken.

By what you're claiming, Graendal would have to know "Rand will send an envoy to me, whom I will then compel. After that, he will channel balefire at me and see whether or not the Compulsion disappears."

Dead as Dumbledore. But why does it preclude her from being Asmo's killer? - 02/11/2009 07:04:08 AM 641 Views
Right. That info could easily be revealed through the POV of another. *NM* - 02/11/2009 02:15:31 PM 288 Views

Actually, the one that Rand had Nynaeve study earlier was more complex. - 04/11/2009 05:11:07 PM 623 Views
But you can't reverse Compulsion by unraveling it, right? - 18/11/2009 10:48:08 PM 566 Views
Almost certainly dead - 02/11/2009 04:48:18 PM 711 Views
Yeah. Compared to, say, Sammael's "death" - 02/11/2009 10:40:01 PM 616 Views
Not even almost. Graendal and Sammael now both go well with eggs. *NM* - 03/11/2009 01:51:15 AM 312 Views

Alive. It's the simplest answer for me, especially considering that Rand knew she was more cunning - 04/11/2009 05:03:38 PM 715 Views

No, I'm making it more simple. - 04/11/2009 11:11:36 PM 578 Views
That thoery doesn't account for the undoing of the Compulsion - 04/11/2009 11:50:06 PM 583 Views
Yes, it does. Distance causes maintained weaves and Links to attenuate. - 05/11/2009 04:22:37 PM 621 Views
