I personally believe that RJ didn't leave notes specifically concerning how Graendal would meet her fate. Maybe he did, but many of the events leading up to her dead were undoubtedly Sanderson. And while Sanderson's done a great job, I get the feeling that his grasp on both the One Power and repercussions of making small mistakes like this is minimal at best. RJ spent so long writing the books because there is so much detail that one has to be careful about. Sanderson probably didn't think "Graendal would realize that Rand already found out about others whom I've put Compulsion and be more careful in the future."
I might be wrong, but I'd bet quite a bit that Graendal is toast.

I think it's fair to say at this point that Graendal did not kill Asmodean.

Dead as Dumbledore. But why does it preclude her from being Asmo's killer?

Right. That info could easily be revealed through the POV of another. *NM*

Actually, the one that Rand had Nynaeve study earlier was more complex.

Alive. It's the simplest answer for me, especially considering that Rand knew she was more cunning
