Odds are she's dead darius_sedai Send a noteboard - 06/12/2009 08:48:19 PM
I personally believe that RJ didn't leave notes specifically concerning how Graendal would meet her fate. Maybe he did, but many of the events leading up to her dead were undoubtedly Sanderson. And while Sanderson's done a great job, I get the feeling that his grasp on both the One Power and repercussions of making small mistakes like this is minimal at best. RJ spent so long writing the books because there is so much detail that one has to be careful about. Sanderson probably didn't think "Graendal would realize that Rand already found out about others whom I've put Compulsion and be more careful in the future."

I might be wrong, but I'd bet quite a bit that Graendal is toast.

I am looking forward to seeing what led up to her death in ToM though!

I think it's fair to say at this point that Graendal did not kill Asmodean. - 02/11/2009 04:36:37 AM 930 Views

Dead as Dumbledore. But why does it preclude her from being Asmo's killer? - 02/11/2009 07:04:08 AM 856 Views
Right. That info could easily be revealed through the POV of another. *NM* - 02/11/2009 02:15:31 PM 378 Views

Actually, the one that Rand had Nynaeve study earlier was more complex. - 04/11/2009 05:11:07 PM 837 Views

Almost certainly dead - 02/11/2009 04:48:18 PM 927 Views
Yeah. Compared to, say, Sammael's "death" - 02/11/2009 10:40:01 PM 836 Views
Not even almost. Graendal and Sammael now both go well with eggs. *NM* - 03/11/2009 01:51:15 AM 404 Views

Yes, it does. Distance causes maintained weaves and Links to attenuate. - 05/11/2009 04:22:37 PM 842 Views
Yes, but Compulsion is almost never a maintained weave *NM* - 06/11/2009 07:19:24 PM 427 Views
