EotW - Aginor and Balthamel both use it vs Moiraine, Rand etc.
Actually Moiraine uses brute strength via her angreal and loses.
TSR - Rand beats Asmodean in a pure strength contest, winning solely due to his angreal.
This wasn't a duel, this was a wrestling match.
TFoH - Rand uses strength more than skill against Lanfear.
and until Moiraine kills Lanfear he's getting his ass kicked due to Lanfear's superior skill!
TFoH - Again, Rand uses all his strength to BF Rahvin, the only possible way to save his friends.
Go read the book ... this battle was all about Rhavin using his superior skill to kick Rand's ass ... again the only reason Rahvin lost here is because Nynaeve made a sneak attack!
TFoH - Ironically, you're claim that "the only dueling where a channeler tries to overpower is Nynaeve v. Moghedien" is no longer true at the end since Nynaeve beats Moggy using her wits, and NO power at all.
You are finally understanding my point. Strength isn't what wins these battles! Skill, wits and guts do.
LoC - Rand uses his strength to break the shield on him so hard that 2 AS are stilled. Earlier, he constantly measures how safe he is from the AS by their strength and number, ignoring whether they are Red, Green or Brown. Skill doesn't factor in to Rand/LTT.
Again, go re-read this ... LTT taught Rand the skill necessary to break the shield ... all his strength did absolutely nothing until he learned from LTT.
...That's enough for now, you get the drift, I've skipped plenty and I could go further in the series and add plenty more.
I agree, you've done enough for now ... thanks for helping prove my point.
Domani Drag Queen in the White Tower ... Aran'gar watch out!
Who would win in a fight? (yes, you read that right!
