As long as Egwene learns to be humble (and I mean BE humble, not SAY that she's humble [which by definition is paradoxical]), then it'll be fine.

I hope her time in that tiny prison cell gave her as much insight into Rand and she thought it did.

Hopefully she'll meet up with Nynaeve or Cadsuane (or maybe even the WOs) first, which might soften the impact.

Regardless, we know that Rand is aware of LTT's distrust of AS, and now that he understands both sides, he can approach her in a way which disarms her.

Neverthless, my instinctual feeling is that they will clash in the next book (over the AM/AS bonding issue), and that it will only be resolved at the end of ToM if at all. There is certainly a chance that Egwene will turn out like Lara Posae (sp?), who forsook LTT before the Strike @ SG.
