I think it's pretty unlikely that Elaida's Foretelling is a fake. It WOULD be cool if it came about in a way that no one expects- Sure, Elaida's didn't realize it, but we all pretty much knew it was going to be Egwene the second we read it.

Hm. Can anyone think of another way this could happen?


And in my book, this counts as a point against the Foretelling. Meaning that it's fake.

And if the Foretelling is fake, than we are opened to interpretation of what would happen.

As Lord Bryne pointed in EotW, whatever Elaida "Foretells" is pretty much obvious to the intellgent observer. So I think we can treat the Foretelling about Amyrlin Seat's anger as casual observation, and nothing else. It was pretty much obvious, that whatever the Dragon Reborn would do it won't please the White Tower, and thus it'll anger the Amyrlin Seat.

I know, it's a stretch, but I'm really hoping for it.
