The Bargaining was a reference to the Sea Folk.

It's just irritating that everyone tries to GET something from the Savior of the World, in exchange for... letting him save the world.


And RJ tended to personify a group through their leaders ... i.e. Nesta was the best Bargainer, Colaveare couldn't stop playing the Game of Houses, Tenobia is fierce, Berelain sensual etc.... guess as the future leader of AS Egwene must be ambitious.


As someone once remarked to me in a conversation, how can it be a theme if the characters themselves don't learn a lesson? So true. Even in the latest book the characters don't communicate. It's highly unrealistic especially in a world of instant teleportation.
