I think Egwene may be the caretaker of his public legacy, while Aviendha will be the caretaker of his private and secret legacy (perhaps his children should Elayne die).

And I am of the opinion that Egwene will need to do something to neutralize the Seanchan expressly because that is the last thing she wants to do but Rand has no time to do it.

Also, she is older now, and wise in ways that Rand is not - I suspect their next meeting (if any) will be with them both appearing somewhat world-weary, even if they occupy their characteristic roles.
