Aiel, Cairhien and Andor are NOT under Egwenes power. Lohikaarme Send a noteboard - 20/12/2010 02:46:44 PM
Egwene certainly commands more channelers directly than Tuon. Adding in the Novices and Accepted, Egwene has around 2000 women under her command. While individually, the Novices might be useless (or not, based on what Egwene was able to do with them in tGS), they can link with Aes Sedai, making each circle individually too powerful for the Seanchan to face.
Half of those are bound by the Oaths against using OP as a weapon, and nearly all are to damane like toddlers to swordmasters. Also captured channelers add to Seanchan power.

Added to that, the Wise Ones and Windfinders will almost certainly support the Aes Sedai fully, against the Seanchan.
I guess this is why we disagree. You see Egwene having her allies, who are not hers to command but Rands, adding to her power more than I do.

As for armies, there's Garth Bryne's 50000 added to Chubain's 50000. But Siuan tells us that Bryne's recruitment efforts have seen great success, in ToM. So, around 150,000 is more likely.
Fresh recruits versus the Seanchan? Wow, that would be over fast.

Added to that, the armies of Andor and Cairhein, and probably many others, can be pressed into service behind the Tower. The Aiel will also likely help.
Same as with the WO and WF. Elayne may be Egwenes to command (though that clashes with AS induvidualism) but her realms aren't.

And while the Seanchan have better logistics, with Traveling, those issues become less relevant. As strategists, Bryne likely can come up with plans to flummox the Seanchan, just like Ituralde did so many times.
Maby. Though it would be interesting to see what Mat would do, choosing between Eg&WT and Tuon&Seanchan.

Added to all this, Egwene has sa'angreal and angreal. Plus, linked sisters can make huge Gateways, which means her armies will be much more mobile than the Seanchan. Just 13 sisters can transport a huge army, leaving all others free to fight, whereas the Seanchan will have to use nearly all their Damane to transport huge armies. Plus, very few of those damane will be able to make gateways large enough for wagons and carts...

Egwene does have *angreal, but she also has the Oaths.
Stuck in Finnland!
