is that plate armor NEEDS to dent. It needs to cushion the blow and conduct a transfer of energy. Unless c-dar absorbs all the energy you put into it (if I remember correctly, it doesn't), it's going to be worse than metal.


And, regardless, it's just not an efficient process. Others have pointed out the flaws with both production and who would wear it. There's no point in giving it to the generals (they aren't on the lines), and you can't produce it in high enough quantities to make it worth distributing to the common solider.
