Be'lal was clearly weary of his strength in TDR even before Callandor. and the Forsaken discuss him "being as strong as anyone" early in the series ... the Forsaken would not have been all that concerned about him because of his lack of training if he wasn't already at least as strong as most of them.

Asmodean is most likely the weakest of the males, but he's not that far off of them despite being a total wuss of a person :)
