Do you have any argument for her being alive that doesn't start from the position of "I don't want her to be dead, so let's look for loopholes in how she could have gotten out of it?"
I didn't think she was killed when I first read the scene for some of the reasons already named. I was actually surprised that so many readers here were so certain of it. I don't count anyone as dead unless we see a confirmed corpse, and in this series, know the state of their souls. I'm quite convinced that many of the readers who are certain of her death are caught up in the magnitude of the attack. I'm basically not convinced she needed to get out of it in the first place since her modus operandi suggests she wouldn't have been there in the first place.
Anyway, my idea on the matter has been covered in quite a few posts, so my impressions are not formed of any desire to argue the matter but from my analysis of the scene and a few re-reads.

Graendal's death would imply a major logical flaw in the story.
