I agree ... it's much like Rand's approach to Graendal

Nynaeve and Rand aren't very informed or skilled channelers. They generally learn a few essential weaves and throw everything they have at their enemies. It usually works too.
I disagree, especially about Rand. He does act alot on instinct (which we now know is just LTT's memories), but he does use some complex weaves and tactics. The fights with Ishmael, Lanfear, Rahvin and Sammael showcase this. Especially with Rahvin and Lanfear, we saw new weaves and tactics being employed.
Nynaeve also outsmarts Moghedien, which is no small feat. If she somehow managed to collar Egwene, Egwene would lose her mind instantaneously.
Note how many times he called her "crafty" or "smart" etc ... he was worried that she would defeat him (if only by escaping) by being smarter than him.
It's kind of like a developmentally disabled person with great physical strength would have little chance in a fist fight with a feather weight boxer... sure if they got lucky and landed a knock-out punch they could win, but odds are they will end up losing.
Domani Drag Queen in the White Tower ... Aran'gar watch out!
Who would win in a fight? (yes, you read that right!
