Every passage is about the difficulty to Moiraine maintaining her composure, never any difficulty channeling. And the last one. The one that was apparently designed to make her fail. Do you seriously believe that meeting her father and hearing of her dying mother would cause her trouble channeling?


She spent months working on making sure she had the weaves under control ... if she screwed up on any one of the 100 she would have failed as surely as if she had panicked. It's a multi-tiered system of tests.

RJ's point about Nynaeve specifically points out that she would have trouble because she "had too much specialization" ... that's clearly an OP issue.
