But how else would they fall down? Aeryn Send a noteboard - 21/09/2011 07:42:27 PM
I went to an engineering/architecture school, so there was a lot of discussion in class of why/how they collapsed. It may seem strange or unexpected that it fell straight down, but really, how else would they fall? Why would you expect the building to fall sideways? The problem happened when the support struts melted and the top chunk of the building collapsed onto the floor below - collapsed straight down, as gravity would have it do. That floor couldn't hold, and also fell down.

The "explosions" would just be the noise (tremendous defeaning noise) of the buildling collapsing. Each floor, in fact, as it crashed onto the next one, one by one, would sound like an explosion. (Especially to a traumatized layperson. For what it's worth, the sound of the airplane approaching the building was just like the whistling of the bombs that I've seen in movies to me. The way the ground shook too. So if I didn't know any better, based on my eyewitness account, I might have said that the planes dropped bombs.)

I don't think there is any evidience that Bush wanted to attack Iraq before 9-11 - 20/09/2011 05:21:09 PM 882 Views
Um. Well, sure, that would be true. If you ignored all the evidence. - 20/09/2011 05:45:23 PM 945 Views
