It is a great case of Selective Outrage, IMHO Isaac Send a noteboard - 12/03/2010 03:10:01 AM
Of course, I'm not of a mind to defend Mississisisssippi since I depise the whole state and I think I once referred to it on the WoT CMB after returning from a visit as "A place that could only be improved by full-scale Nuclear Bombardment" but I do think a lot of the people crying about freedom on this one are a bit selective in their outrage, even if I happen to mostly agree with them.

One wonders how many of them would be crying foul if a young man showed up with six dates after receiving backing from the ACLU and referring to his dates off school property in interviews as 'My harem'. Typically those who would raise a hue and cry about free speech for the kid who showed up to school wearing a t-shirt with a marijuana leaf aren't the same people who would raise it if someone else showed up wearing one which said "Abortion is murder", and rather than being outraged if that person were expelled or even just remaining silent they are probably the ones demanding that person's expulsion.

The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.
