Ah, yes, "the rules." beetnemesis Send a noteboard - 15/03/2010 01:47:31 AM

As for her, she doesn't get much sympathy from me. She tried to use the courts to change things to her specifications, the school pushed back, and now the prom is canceled. She ruined it for everybody because she couldn't have her way. No, it wasn't intentional, but it happened because she didn't think the potential consequences of her crusade through before embarking on it. While I can see the students being angry with the school, I can also understand them being angry with her. Maybe being in the hotseat with her classmates will get her to think things through next time. It's always good to think about the people who could get caught in the crossfire before embarking on any crusade. She didn't, and those people are now angry with her. Life lesson.

It really irritates me how you and a few others seem to think she doesn't deserve any sympathy. She "tried to change things to her specifications?" It was an UNJUST RULE. Next you'll be saying "It's the nail that sticks up that gets pounded down."

Basically, your post is saying "its her own damn fault for standing up for something. Next time, don't make waves."
I amuse myself.
