He was saying that, if you're going to defend someone for murdering innocents, it is hypocritical to oppose those who kill threatening people.
They were enemy combatatants literally invading the Tower.
The equivalent of what cops in America do would be if Egewene saw two random women walk down the street, heard their Seanchan accent, and killed them because she was worried they were Sul'dam who would enslave her.
The issue is in taking the way someone looks and saying "you look like other people who are violent criminals, so I'll treat you like one and shoot you before you do anything"!
By that logic, black people can claim white cops look like the KKK so it's ok for them to shoot cops, no?
