Or how abortion opponents are dangerous fanatics, having killed nearly a dozen abortionists in the forty+ years since Roe V Wade, but the day after 3000 people are murdered indiscriminately by people acting in the name of Islam, according to specific and explicit doctrines of Islam, the President of the US calls it a "religion of peace". It's acceptable for all Christians to be tarred with the brush of the behavior of the Westboro Baptist Church, and never mind that if they did in fact share those beliefs, there would be no need for Fred Phelps to go off and form his own church, but how dare anyone do the same to Muslims who, in the name of their religion, commit mass murder. It is MORE acceptable to share the blame for Islamic terrorism, sexism & homophobia with Christians under the category of "Religion", than it is to share it with people who profess to follow the same prophets and read the same holy books!

It's racist for citing specific stats indicating criminal behavior of black people, and there is no reason to assume cops are aware of these stats and their treatment of blacks is founded entirely on baseless hostility, but it's okay to make broad assumptions about the behavior of white people, who come from dozens of different ethnic cultures, traditions and religions, but not about black people, who come from a remarkably small area of Africa, were assimilated into a particular subset of American culture, all possessing the same linguistic heritage, as well as being and Protestants, and to this day retain an identity as a community, while bloc-voting in numbers as no other group does.

It's okay for liberals to cite the poverty of black people when calling for actions to alleviate that poverty. It's okay for liberals to assert that poverty causes crime when demanding welfare spending over anti-crime policies. And it's racist for anyone to suggest that maybe these two claims of liberals not only might both be true, but that they suggest a natural and-to-be expected higher crime rate for blacks, including a greater likelihood of coming into violent confrontations with the police.
