All right, that's a reason. Of course, from everything we've seen about Graendal's enjoyment of her luxuries, it is difficult to imagine that she would sacrifice everything she'd set up in Arad Doman just to accomplish something that she doesn't care for and doesn't actually bring her anything. Especially since it works so badly - contrary to the levels of genius prediction that are attributed to her plan to get Rand there, the goal you attribute to her pretty much falls flat. Rand did not suffer much for destroying Graendal's pets, compared to what he'd already suffered.
