A few years ago we had an extensive argument on the WoTMB where you vehemently defended her and refused to acknowledge the slightest fault whatsoever in her murder of two helpless women.

Yeah, enemy combatants are innocent women. Nice try.

Cops are under real pressure and real stress, and receives less combat training than our even-more celebrated soldiers, who perpetuated disgraceful massacres in Vietnam.

And this lack of training isn't outrageous and wrong because...?

They are not in black and white fantasy scenarios with superhuman capacity to make distinctions between friend and foe.

They do not have to be. In the case of Tamir Rice, for instance, the call indicated the gun was probably fake, and the probability of the person being a juvenile. This info was not passed on to the officers. Exactly why you think superhuman abilities are needed to correctly transcribe a call and rely crucial information to cops is beyond me.

But despite her claiming powers which necessitate a much higher moral standard, you keep defending Egwene's lapses of judgment as perfectly understandable for an ordinary human being. Cops are not supposed to be superhuman action heroes, they are supposed to civilians, which is the whole point, in order to preserve their fellow citizens' freedom against military rule.

Egwene would have been perfectly justified, within the moral standards of her own world or our own, to blast every single Seanchan who was in that corridor. That you think a child playing in a playground is comparable to an invading army intent on killing or enslaving just reveals your deep racism and moral corruption.
I also don't know where you get this idea that "America" is proud of cops. They are almost universally antagonistic characters in movies.

That's ludicrous. There are entire TV shows, not to mention buddy cop movies, where they're anything but. Maybe you watch an alt-universe version of American cinema and TV? Certainly not out of the realm of possibility.
Even in movies where the hero is a cop, he is a minority or outlier, who has to buck the whole establishment. Except for Die Hard 3, I cannot think of a single movie or TV show which has cops, but none of whom are antagonistic.

Wait a minute... for America to be proud of its cops, no single cop can ever be shown as antagonistic in a single movie or show? Most of us have saner standards, Cannoli.

This is a country whose care of its military veterans is so shitty that reforming the system was one of the few bipartisan issues of the last presidential campaign,

And look at all the magnificent reforms that have followed... err no.

And I'm not saying American pride in cops, or its soldiers, isn't hypocritical. As is often the case in this country, these sentiments are trotted out when it is politically convenient, not out of some principled adherence to a viewpoint.

that spat on its soliders coming home from Vietnam, and yet, explicitly honors soldiers in the exact same stadiums where millionaire athletes defy requests to honor the flag and country by kneeling against the police.

Oh yeah. Kneeling during the anthem is kneeling against the police. It just cannot be a statement about how the system preys on and betrays the weakest of its citizenry. Oh no.

Also, for someone who seems so furious at this disrespect to the flag, I notice that far from being outraged, you were defending the rights of Confederate Flag wielding racists in Charlottesville. Why is that political speech worth protecting, but not this one? Because you agree with one and not the other?

To the extent that there is pride in the police, it is backlash against the vile BLM or leftover from 9-11, when a few hundred police officers died because they entered a collapsing skyscraper in an attempt to rescue occupants. That's basically the extreme we need to go to in the US for cops to be really honored or popular.

Oh yes. Not indicting a guy who lied about his evaluation as emotionally unstable and unfit for duty in his previous police job, who then shot a kid with a toy gun... what is that if not a blind deference to police authority?
