As we've come to expect, heaven forbid an enemy of the good guys actually being portrayed as even mildly intelligent in this series.

Sounds like Elaida is doing a great job of destroying herself, just like some other bad guys we've come to know and love.

How wonderful. Can you feel the tension among the readership? Do you think Egwene has any chance of victory against such a formiddable foe?

Oooh, the suspense...



Egwene will obviously win, though Gawyn needs to apparently rescue her before she loses her head. She's going to get Elaida to send her to the headsman somehow.

Elaida the idiot is more a testament to Mesaana getting something right rather than there being another villain without a brain. Elaida is a pawn being used to destroy the White Tower - it may be one of only a handful of the Shadow's victories.
