But no one's really answered my question either...I understand that it runs counter to Christianity, BUT IN THE EVENT OF THIS HAPPENING, what do you think would happen?

Would it become an issue? Would people just brush the individual off as insane? Would they right them off as a modern day Joseph Smith? Would it become a huge debate, complete with threats, violence, etc...etc...?

For that matter, if we assume in this hypothetical situation that this New Messenger is a legit Prophet/Speaker For God/Whatever-you-want-to-call-it, and everyone ignores/mistreats him...what would you think the consequences would be?

I'm just curious as to what y'all would think would happen. I'm of the opinion that people would totally ignore the individual as heretically insane, merely because he's "so wrong"...



I'm also curious as to what it would take out of that individual to convince you? Could you be convinced?
