Yes, I do. I also know other women reached out to the Senate, and not only did the FBI not investigate those claims, the Senate didn't let those women testify either. In this case, I'd hope we'd dispense with such awful tactics.

Well, see, there's a different issue at play here. There's a mentioned eye witness/co-accused, Mark Judge, who's story has changed once already, and whose ex-girlfriend has given the lie to another of his statements. The Senate will not only call him to testify under oath, they won't let the FBI question him under the penalty of perjury.

There is also the matter of the statements made by Dr. Blasey to her therapist. That was 6 years ago, and can certainly be investigated.

The point of this is to have a non-partisan fact finding. If, for instance, this is a Democratic smear campaign as the GOP is oh so charmingly claiming, the FBI can check that out, too. And the fact that it is, or is not, will be investigated, and put out for everyone to see. That is valuable in and of itself, no?

Almost three decades later? I should hope so!

Of course, the fact that it is the accusers who want the FBI to investigate, and the Democrats, and not Kavanaugh and the GOP is pretty telling in and of itself.
