This is why Herid Fel was so important. The philosophical underpinnings of the fight between good vs evil are apparently as crucial as the battle itself.
I was also very interested by the statement that the Dragon's victory could potentially be as dark as his loss.
And I think it ties in to Min's visions of the fireflies trying to match the darkness. Perhaps the collective belief of everyone on the Light's side will be the thing that seals the DO away?
