I'd still say that there's an unequivocal wrongness to grabbing men, women, and children, then feeding them to other creatures.

Yet, there are many real world examples of people who steep themselves in High Reason, overlooking various aspects of common sense - or becoming apathetic to violations of natural law (murder, rape, etc).

When Rand spoke with Moridin in TGS, I loved what he said: that, in essence, Ishy was driven mad by reason.
