Wy do you assume that there is a 'first day' when Shaitan was imprisoned??? That could have been status quo for infinite past. Remember the Creator is outside time. He could create a world from outside time, with the Dark One imprisoned within it, creating time also so that the wheel has had an infinite number of turns, all of which have the Dark One imprisoned.
And again the Dark One is outside the pattern but within time.
