When Rand made the death gates, did the shadowspawn bodies pass through the gates? Is it just that they can't survive passing through the gate, or that they don't pass through the gate at all? If someone tried to push a trolloc through a gateway, would there be a dead trolloc body on the other side or does the trolloc just die and remain in its original location?

I thought I remembered snow and wind coming through Avi's gate, but I am probably remembering it wrong. I tend to do that with WoT from time to time.
