I don't really believe this theory, of course...

Maybe new "bore sealing" will tie somehow into the fact that Gateways form some barrier through which Shadowspawn cannot cross.

It's not just covering up the Bore with a Gateway, however--gateways have edges which can be attacked. No, imagine instead you find yourself inside of a perfect sphere, where the interior wall of the entire sphere is one contiguous Gateway that leads back to the interior of the sphere.

This is literally a prison with no way out, because every direction points inward. Caasi is the physicist around here (I haven't seen him in a while, not sure if he's still playing Mafia on the other boards), but this is essentially what a Black Hole is, and I'm sure RJ the physicist knew this. The reason light can't escape a Black Hole is not because gravity is "pulling" on the light--gravity doesn't actually pull. Instead, it warps space, and the space around a black hole is warped to such an extent that every direction points toward the black hole's center.

Anyway, that would be a cool idea for a DO's Prison that doesn't require any Seals. No more loose Seals (Arrested Development reference).
