We got another hint regarding life skills being related to OP skills: in Romanda's KoD PoV, we're told that those older Novices who had been Wise Women and Wisdoms showed most skill in Healing. She dismisses the possibility of a connection, but it is strong evidence that what you do outside of channeling can help with channeling skill.


This may have been covered somewhere, but a persons OP strengths may well drive what they do in life. Nynaeve and the other older novices as Wisdoms, Androl's extensive travels could as easily be explained by their OP Talents driving them down a certain path, even when those skills are latent.

Personally I think innate OP skills driving life choice seems more likely than the other way around.


Skill with a tool is incidental not because you were destined to use the tool or even find it.
