Please learn how to spell the word "jealous" before tossing it about in the cavalier fashion you do Larry Send a noteboard - 30/03/2011 10:54:36 PM
You both know you will never accomplish 1/10th what he has. You will never be remotely as successful as he. You will never be remembered as he will. All for what, in your arrogence, you consider to be work that is inferior to your own. Thus you both spend incredible time and effort to try to tear his work down in doing so you hope to "educate" us poor ignorant simpletons; for is we were only smarter, if we only understood more, we would like you and your work better.

It truley is pathetic, but completely understandable.

Umm...I teach for a living. I feel quite a bit of pride whenever a student can come off his drug-related withdrawals enough to learn and to be a better person. I wouldn't trade my career as a teacher for a writer any day of the week, so the accusation is amusing.

As for Roberts, I imagine he spends a lot more time as a literature professor in London specializing in 19th century literature than he does worrying about WoTheads like you ;) By the way, his reviews of WoT are up for a British Science Fiction Association award for non-fiction, if I'm not mistaken. I guess the jealousy extends to members of BSFA then?

But yes, this response of yours insures at least another day that this revived thread spends on the active three-day view here, helping keep up that fading illusion that people here still have things to talk about ;)
Illusions fall like the husk of a fruit, one after another, and the fruit is experience. - Narrator, Sylvie
