My first WoT book was CoS. Think about how that colored the subsequent reads of 1-6 :P


Well, at least you knew it would get better. I would probably never have read books subsequent to The Eye of the World if not for being exceedingly bored and having nothing to do one day :P.


I didn't know if it would be better or not, but I was curious enough that I bought the paperbacks for each of those and enjoyed them just enough to continue with the series. #2 and #3 were the worst in the series for me, to be honest, at least up to that point. Still don't care much for them even to this day (not that my opinion of the latter books are much better, 13 years later :P)
