I didn't start reading it again until after high school graduation during a winter break in college. Seriously.

No one can repeat too much how horrible this installment was, so I fully endorse pointing out how boring this book was.

Also, IIRC, he liked "Eye of the World" in a derivative way, and somewhat enjoyed "The Dragon Reborn", but at this point, the series does start to decline in quality quite sharply, so this is the first time he's actually said he's hated a book in it.

BTW I'm glad he put in a mention about the book "Fire from Heaven" by Mary Renault. I'm going to check it out!


Started to decline in quality? Aside from the The Shadow Rising, Lord of Chaos was the best book in the series at the point.
