I agree that the series drags on and that his books are 250 page books trying to be 750 page ones. RJ's worldbuilding has always been suicidally large, and it came back to haunt him at the end of the series, with the author himself declaring that he will truncate the series with one more book no matter what it takes. A clear sign of desperation when one is faced with hundreds of open plots that have never resolved.

On the other hand, infodump is something I don't agree with. Those are some of my favourite parts of the series, which is exactly why I like the Forsaken chapters. They explain RJ's world - i.e. the Age of Legends, the world as it is presently, and the One Power in detail. The critic's example of an infodump is Someshta's explanation of how the Eye was made, but there's nothing excessive about it, and it's rather important.
