I guess I just presumed that people would read the header to his blog
Larry Send a noteboard - 12/04/2010 03:54:10 AM

Or rather, it's a review of a series taken from a casual viewpoint. It's not his professional review blog that he's posting reviews of these books and several others, but his personal one where he's said in the past that he's going to be very conversational and not very formal in how he approaches writing the reviews.
To be honest I may well have gone into his "review" with a different mind-set if you had set this up from the beginning.
I do think it's interesting that he finds it necessary to have a "casual and personal" review blog where he pretty much shreds other people's work. Having read some of his other posts on there I find it interesting that he seems to use this blog as a forum of negativity. He even notes it himself:
Having read others, he veers back and forth. Review blogs, casual or not, are not supposed to be just positive or just negative reviews. It does amuse me, as a reviewer myself, those who seem to think that they ought to be all one or the other.
"Sometimes, I suppose it could be argued, this blog veers a little towards the negative-critical. So let me buck my own trend and say that the new Gorillaz album is very very good indeed"
Oh well.
