So should any respect be shown to you for showing no respect for the opinions of one who holds different takes than you? Of course, I'm coming at this from someone who's read several reviews of his over the past few years. Some I agreed with, others I had completely different takes. But I've never felt the antipathy that you seem to show to the person writing the review. Hate the review all you want, but what personal harm have you taken from the fact that Roberts did not like one of your favorite series?

I have no respect for a man who is clearly too lazy to do more than make a series of sarcastic posts and call them reviews. He is entitled to his opinion, but I don't take him seriously because he is not doing the work to make this a true review.


What, pray tell, makes for a "true" review? Very curious about this, for professional reasons.

I have issues with the utter lack of doing the work involved with a good review. I'm dismissive of his opinion because he's not putting anything behind it that others haven't said in the past, he's just being nasty and bashing on the series, he's not funny and quite honestly he comes across to me as immature ... so I'm unimpressed on multiple levels.


Well, it's an informal commentary on what he's reading, he's not obligated to say nice things about the books he reads, he's reading it for the first time and probably doesn't feel compelled to read the august opinions of such as you :P

If he was writing a piece that had anything constructive in it or even thought provoking I'd be interested. As it is he just comes across like a raging douchebag.
